Obituary of Patricia Walker Quinn

Patricia Walker Quinn, age 85, of Gloversville, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Mountain Valley Hospice House, Gloversville.

She was born June 24, 1938, in Amsterdam, the daughter of David and Agnes (Heber) McGuire. She was employed by General Telephone Co. of Johnstown until 1966 and then stayed at home to raise her children. She was later employed by the Gloversville Enlarged School District as an aide for several years.

Pat was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit and its Sisters of the Holy Spirit. She was a volunteer for the Nathan Littauer Hospital Auxiliary for over twenty years.

She is survived by her husband, John H. Quinn; three daughters, Debra Sleezer (Stephen), Beth Spencer (Todd) and Karen Walker (James Kramer); seven grandchildren; a sister, Joan Wanamaker; a stepdaughter, Kelly Serafin (Daryl); a stepson, Edward Quinn (Tammy); as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, William T. Walker.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 am to 11:30 am Monday, January 15th at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 153 S. Main St; Gloversville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30am with the Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating.

Interment will take place in the spring at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave; Gloversville, or the Church of the Holy Spirit 153 S. Main St; Gloversville.
