Obituary of Marie A. Buyce

Marie A. Buyce, 75, of Gloversville, New York, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2023 at Wells Nursing Home. Marie was born on April 26, 1948 in Gouverneur, New York to the late Peter and Avis (Loveless) Akey.

She was a woman of faith who enjoyed coloring, sitting outside, and going to the park with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved cats and music, especially Elvis Presley! 

Her loving family includes her son, Jimmy Murray of Vermont; her grandchildren, Sarah, Alyssa (Dean), Jimmy, Nicole, Zane, and Justice; her eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald L. Akey Sr. and Lawrence Akey; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Aside from her parents, Peter and Avis, Marie is also preceded in passing by her brothers, Raymond and Wayne; as well as by her sisters, Bonnie, Catherine, and Barbara. 

In keeping with Marie’s wishes, there will be no funeral services held. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, NY 12078.
