I only recently met Elmer when he became a member of EAA602. He was always a gentleman and a great guy to get to know. His interest in all things aviation kept him involved in the group and we will all miss him at events and meetings. As we say in the aviation world he has “Gone West - not alone into the sunset but into the company of friends who have gone before him”

Elmer was such a great guy and we loved having him as a member of the EAA Chapter 602. I remember one of the many Young Eagles events at Fulton County Airport where he helped for hours helping share aviation with kids. After the event we went for a nice flight around the Sacandaga and I was fortunate to hear a little more about his amazing life. May you rest in peace friend. Patrick Morris
