Obituary of Roger D. Warner
Roger D. Warner, 90, of Mayfield, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023, at his home.
He was born April 23, 1933, in Mayfield, the son of Harland and Marguerite (Wemple) Warner. He served in the US Marine Corps and was later employed by the US Postal Service for many years until his retirement. He was also well-known for his electrical work in homes around the area. He enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as hunting, fishing, and was a member of a bowling league. He was also a long-time member of the former Camp Temporary in the Town of Benson.
Roger is survived by his wife, Kay S. “Casey” (Covey) Warner; four sons, Robert Warner (Sherry), Frank Warner (Kathy), Mark Warner (Stacey) and Kurt Warner; a brother, Christopher Warner; a sister, Sandra Evangelista; a stepdaughter, Deborah Johnson (Robert); grandchildren, Shannon Kohn (Rick), Vanessa Saltis (Dan), Ashley Warner, Haleigh Warner, Alex Warner, Maddie Warner, and Lori Hinkle (Jeremiah). He is also survived by his special friend, Mickey Baker.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Duane Warner.
A memorial service will take place 1 pm Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St; Mayfield, with the Rev. Bonnie Orth officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, Gloversville.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church or Mountain Valley Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
