Obituary of Delores J. Bielecki

Delores J. DiMatteo Francisco Bielecki, 88, of Amsterdam, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2023 following a brief illness.  Born in Amsterdam on February 2, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Victor and Philomena “Lena” DiMatteo.

 

A lifelong area resident, Delores was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School.  She was employed as a laborer and worked at many entities during her lifetime.  She retired from Coleco.

 

She was predeceased by her husbands, Richard Francisco and John Bielecki; her sons, Duane and Darren Francisco; and six of her siblings.

 

Dee was devoted to her family.  She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren; and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Her family includes, her children Richard Francisco Jr. and (MaryEllen), Debra Coffey (Fred) and Darlene L. Ross (Anthony); her sister, Diana Burlund; 11 grandchildren, Sonya Minasi, Jacqueline Jackson (Dwight Cooper), Donald Jackson, Kelly Moniz (Adam Schaufelberg), Angelena Ross, Anthony Ross, Christopher Francisco, Julian Francisco, Kimberly Francisco (Derrell Boyd), Richard Francisco III (Brittany Thackrah) Jenney Francisco (Benjamin Righi); 15 great great grandchildren, Lymon Barnett III, Vittorio Barnett, Dominick Barnett, Amelia Brae, Cady Francisco, Myah Francisco, Brie Lynn Francisco, Adalyn Righi, Rozlyn Righi, Gabriella Moniz, Madeline Hartmann, Sophia Minasi, Isabella Minasi, Gordon Schaufelberg, Dezmond Cooper; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

At Dee’s request, there are no formal services.  Private burial will take place in the Hagaman Mills Cemetery, Hagaman, New York.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org
