Ohh, my Dede, where to even begin? I cannot believe you are no longer here with us, it all still feels like a horrible nightmare that we cannot wake up from. You and I have been not only co-workers for 20 plus years but also really good friends. We had our ups and downs and our little fights but who doesn't but no matter what I always considered you my friend. I am so glad that I got to share in all the ups and downs that life threw both of us over the past 20 years and I am so glad that I have all of the memories. You are certainly one that left their mark not only on us at Memroial but on everyone that you ever met along the way. I am so saddened at your loss but I am thankful that you are now pain free. I know one day we will meet again, until then in my heart you will always be. Love you Dede RIP.

I was fortunate enough to cross paths with DeeDee ~2yrs ago. Head strong, stubborn and stuck in her ways are a few ways to describe her. As a boss, those qualities were a challenge. As a friend, those are qualities I admired. Paired with a heart of gold, she is what every woman should strive to be. She was greatly missed at St. Mary's; she was talked about everyday and will continue to be talked about. And as she fought that battle, she continued to apologize for missing work! Who does that? DeeDee, because she never wanted to let anybody down. I saw it at work and in all the stories shared about her beloved family. She was a gift. Someone said "If she liked you, she loved you" and that couldn't be anymore true. Rest Easy D. My condolences to her entire family.
