Obituary of Jean G. Chupka

Mrs. Jean G. Chupka, 90, of Midline Road, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023.  Born in Schenectady, NY on December 27, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Sadie Czojkowski Naparty.

A lifelong area resident, Jean grew up in Schenectady, NY and was a graduate of Draper High School. 

On July 19, 1952, she was united in marriage to Myron Chupka.  That union was blessed with 29 years until his untimely passing on July 19, 1981.  Jean was also predeceased by her siblings, Andrew Naparty Jr. and Patricia Healy.

Jean moved to Midline road, where she and Myron raised their family.  Jean was the matriarch of the family, and was always present at the family business, Midline Greenhouses.  She always enjoyed cooking for her family, especially during the holidays.  She was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and Syracuse Basketball. Jean’s greatest joy, was spending time with her family, feeding the chickens and animals, and driving her golf cart.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her family: daughter, Catherine Harrison (Robert); grandchildren, James Harrison and Kristin McGinley (Dan); great grandchildren, Finnegan Harrison and Ryan McGinley; daughter, Judith Chupka (Mike Furman); son, Paul Chupka; grandchildren, Amber Adamkoski (Joe), Brittany Brown (Bronson), and Paul Chupka Jr.; great grandchildren, JT, Jason, Jackson, Jessie, Dallas, Ariel and Maverick; daughter, Mary Twardzik (Gene); grandchildren, Kayla Cappadona (Nick), and Kevin Twardzik (Kayla); nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4p.m. until 7p.m. at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.  A private burial service will take place at St. Stephen’s Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.  Please visit the online memorial at www.brbsfuneral.com
