First, my condolences to Larry’s family. He was a bright, lively happy guy and my friend at St. Mary’s. The fondest memory I have was working with him at Auriesville Shrine as altar boys. We were probably 14 or 15 and served Mass, helped with communion, passed the basket, we’re part of the services at the ravine (where the martyrs were slain), or the Stations of the Cross and assisted the priests with whatever needed to be done. It was an all day affair so we brought a lunch or at at the cafeteria. When we could grab 10 minutes, Larry and I would sneak away to have a smoke. We would take off our surpluses and just wear our cassocks so that people might think we were priests. We both enjoyed working there and it gave us a feeling of real meaning.
I’m sorry we lost contact after high school but his smile will always be with me. Again, blessings on his family, he will be missed.

Looking back, memories of knowing Larry in high school are some of my favorite memories of that time. Always a joyful presence in those too-often-treacherous years. I recall his smile and his attention to the moment. One delightful day that he shared with Rosalie and me in Auriesville is tucked away. I hope that he maintained and cultivated the sense of humor that I remember from that time.
I was glad to have caught up with Larry at one of our high school reunions, and I am sorry I missed the fact that he had spent time in Vermont at some point (where I’ve lived since).
May I offer my sincere condolences to all who were close to him.
And my thanks to the loved one who included that lovely photo.

Where do I start? 51 years you have been a constant part of my life . When we were visiting you in Washington and you and i used to play hide and seek and run away from charlie the invisible dog. Then new years eve on Mohawk Place at midnight you took me at seven years old out to the middle of the street and banged the hell out of pots and pans and toasted with ginger ale!!! All of our car rides and park adventures !! Jhonn say see you someday Love you Uncle Buddy Always
