Obituary of Kathleen M. LaConte

Kathleen M. LaConte, 76, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away on October 24^th, 2023, at River Ridge Living Center.

She was born on May 18^th, 1947, in Amsterdam, NY to the late Alice T. (Sliva) Marshall. She was later adopted by her father Charles Marshall. Kathleen grew up in the Amsterdam area and attended local schools. After graduation, she went on to become a hairdresser and open her own business in Amsterdam. She was married to Thomas LaConte on November 22^nd, 1997. They shared over 10 years together before his passing in 2010.

Before her retirement, Kathleen loved to cook and relax on the many vacations she took.

She was predeceased by her husband Thomas LaConte; parents Charles and Alice Marshall; as well as brothers Charles F. and Peter Marshall.

Kathleen is survived by her siblings Margaret (James) Karuzas, Paul “Scott” (Barbara) Marshall, Mary (Guy) Robertshaw, her son Thomas Blood, granddaughter Ashley, two great grandsons, and sister-in-law Nadia (Peter) Marshall, along with her caretaker Sean.

In keeping with Kathleen’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Thomas at St Michael’s Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY.
