Obituary of Marcia Ann Durrin

Marcia Ann Durrin, 71, of Mayfield, NY, passed away at home on Saturday, October 21^st, 2023, with her loving family by her side. 

 

Marcia was born in Amsterdam, NY on March 12^th, 1952, to the late Robert and Dorothy (Norse) Gibson. She grew up in Gloversville and graduated from Gloversville High School. After school, she went on to work for MCA Pressing Plant in Gloversville, NY, but later became a homemaker to care for her five children. 

 

She loved the outdoors and would take any opportunity to go camping or fishing. She enjoyed listening to music and watching her cooking shows. More than anything, she loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

 

Marcia was predeceased by her husband Glenn Durrin in 2013; son Robert Durrin; and parents Robert and Dorothy Gibson. 

 

She is survived by her companion of 48 years Francis Durrin; sons Francis S. (Holly) Durrin, Jason Durrin, and Richard Durrin; daughter Lona Brasure; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat Pearly May and dog Maddy.  

 

In keeping with Marcia’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
