Obituary of Helen C. Moore

Mrs. Helen C. Moore, age 94, formerly of Johnstown, died Thursday morning, October 19, 2023, at Palatine Nursing Home, Palatine Bridge.

She was born April 14, 1929, in Babylon, NY, Suffolk County, the daughter of Anton and Mary (Brown) Cordes. She was employed as a laborer at Amsterdam Printing & Litho. She was an avid canvas crafter and enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Helen is survived by three sons, David J. Soltner (Deborah), Edward Soltner (Kathy Verkleir) and Gary Soltner (Diane); a sister, Marge Davidson; five grandchildren, Jennifer Mason, Katie Morrison, Gary Frederick Andrea and Jodi Soltner; nine great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Moore.

Interment will take place at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the local food pantry.
