Obituary of Karen A. Dixon

Karen A. Dixon, age 78, of Johnstown, died Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown.

She was born August 9, 1945, in Gloversville, the daughter of Robert and Rowena (Teller) Perrone. She was employed at Nathan Littauer Hospital as a respiratory therapist, also at Pine View Commons. The Silk Florist and Lexington Center. She loved music and gardening.

Karen is survived by two children, Michael Ambrosino (Debora) of Gloversville and Amy Ambrosino (Melanie McCarthy Smith) Winstin-Salem, NC; a brother, Robert Perrone of Virginia; three grandchildren, Mikey Ambrosino (Ashley Marriott), Emily Ambrosino and Sarah Ambrosino (Jeffrey Glover); as well as two nephews and a niece.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Debra Perrone-Skinner.
