I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Clara.
In high school Clara and I were good friends and had countless good times together (along with her gang of girlfriends!). It seemed that the laughs never ended! Once I even had the foolish idea to ask her out on a date. She humored me for our first and only date, only to realize that best friends can only remain as best friends.
When I moved out West, I lost touch with Clara. But I thought of her quite often, and would ask mutual friends about her when I was in Gloversville.

I just want to, first my thoughts and prayers go out to the family and secondly what a truly beautiful soul Clara was. I knew her in high school and even went to a prom with her. She married one of my child hood friends and fellow baseball player Stevie Swartz. I lost touch over the years as I moved away from Gloversville but I remember her as such a caring person and so much fun to be around. She will surely be missed . Clara, may you rest in peace. Dear Steve, Kym, Joni, Robert, Joan and family: Our deepest condolences on the passing of Clara. Our hearts are broken but filled with over 50 years of memories of love, laughter, conversations, picnics, ball games - so many wonderful moments shared and forever treasured. She was the most genuine, caring, passionate person I know. She truly loved her family and her friends with all of her heart and soul. All of our conversations, even as recently as last week, were a reflection of her strength and integrity and always left me feeling like I had been blessed with my own personal angel here on earth.
