Obituary of Mark F. Cooper

Mark F. Cooper, 63, of Perth, NY passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 with his family by his side.  Born in Massachusetts on June 10, 1960 he was the son of the late Robert and Joanne Wellinger Cooper.

He served proudly in the United States Army from 1981 until 1984.  He worked locally for several entities including Liberty ARC, The Amsterdam Recorder, Finkle’s, Amsterdam Memorial and lastly Save-A-Lot.

Mark was a gentle soul who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include the love of his life, Patricia A. Sokalski; their three children, Joshua, Jonathan and Allison Cooper; his favorite Aunt, Sandra Carriola; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sister, Kathryn M. Cooper in 2020.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 12p.m. at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.  A calling hour will preceded the funeral beginning at 11a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial with military honors will follow the funeral service at 2p.m. at Gerald B.H.
