Obituary of Charlotte E. Neahr

Charlotte E. Neahr, 88, of Voorheesville, New York, passed away on September 8, 2023 at home. Charlotte was born in Amsterdam on September 28, 1934 to the late Charles William and Evelyn (Whitney) Green. 

Charlotte was well-known for her sharp mind, and feisty attitude. She could remember everything about her life as far back as her childhood, and she never forgot anything that she was told. In her youth Charlotte loved to go ice skating, and she was a life-long Elvis fan. She will be remembered for the joy she brought to those around her, and for her love of singing and dancing. 

She leaves behind her loving daughter, Charlotte (Nancy) Birch-VanWormer, her special niece, Evelyn Delcostello, and her former husband, Alvin Neahr, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Aside from her parents, Charles and Evelyn, Charlotte is preceded in passing by her siblings, Charles Green, Elizabeth Romeyn, and Karen Davis. 

Funeral services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. She will be interred in Green Hill Cemetery in Amsterdam, where she will be laid to rest with her sister, Elizabeth. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to an animal charity of one's choosing.
