Shelley and I were born 1 day apart in 1952. Our mothers were down the hall from each other in St Mary’s Hospital.
We had childhood birthday parties together when we were young living down the street from each other on Fort Johnson Avenue.
When she was volunteering at the local SPCA Shay helped me pick out a cat for my mom.
I met with Shay when she had a couple cats up for adoption a few years back.
She was a great animal lover and animal caregiver with a heart bigger than all outdoors.
My heart is very sad over her passing.
My deepest condolences to her family and friends.
