Obituary of Conchetta I. Schultz
Mrs. Conchetta I. “Connie” Schultz, 80, of the Town of Florida, passed away suddenly on August 18, 2023. Born on May 25, 1943 she was the daughter of the late John and Nicolena Montemagno Mattioli Sr.
A lifelong area resident, Connie graduated from the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in 1961. On September 26, 1964 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Edward B. Schultz, Sr. Together for 59 years, they built their home and farm in the Town of Florida.
Connie was employed as a bookkeeper and was a homemaker. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her siblings, John J. “Spinner” Mattioli and Antoinette Mueller; and her sister-in-law, Colleen Mattioli.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Edward; two sons, Edward B. Schultz Jr. and his wife Cindy; Peter J. Schultz; six grandchildren; Ashleigh Phillips and her husband Kyle, Kyle Schultz, Michael Scott and his wife Samantha, Jon Schultz, Marc Schultz and Jacob Richardson; three great grandchildren, Madilyn, Camryn and Avery; five siblings, Tony Mattioli, Nicolena “Nikki” Mattioli, Esther Tomlinson and her husband, Gary, Irene Brooker, and her husband Bert, Mary Traver and her husband David; two brother-in-laws, Robert Mueller and Joseph Schultz and his wife Carol; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Service of Remembrance will take place on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 12p.m. at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY with The Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. officiating.
