Obituary of Charles E. Quackenbush

Charles E. Quackenbush, 53, of Gloversville passed away on August 16, 2023, after a brief illness, with his loving family by his side. Born in Little Falls, NY on September 15, 1969, he was the son of the late Everett C. Quackenbush and Alberta (Nittiskie) Covell. He is also predeceased by his son Matthew Quackenbush.

Survived by his fiancé Susan Kazlauskas of Gloversville, NY, his sons Mike Quackenbush (Kayla) of Gloversville, NY, and Corey Quackenbush (Stephanie) of San Diego, CA, grandchildren Brendon, Matthew, Kaysin, of Gloversville, NY, and Brayden of San Diego, CA.  Sisters Ann Bravick (Bill) Holt, FL, and Kim Quackenbush (Toby) of Herkimer, NY, brother James Quackenbush (Melissa) of Gloversville, NY and a special friend Mike Coppernoll of Gloversville, NY, and several aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. 

During his lifetime he was educated at Oppenheim Ephratah Central School, and later went on to work after high school working in various Leather mills throughout Johnstown and Gloversville, with his last employment at Broleco Leather in Johnstown, NY before becoming ill.  He enjoyed nature and loved the wilderness, hunting, fishing, and taking bike rides. 

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Foothills Worship Center, 305 Jansen Avenue, Johnstown, NY 12095 on September 23, 2023, at 1 pm.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Betz, Rossi Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078.
