Obituary of George Becker

George Anthony Becker, 61, of Amsterdam, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday August 2^nd, 2023.

He was born on January 6^th, 1962, in Cooperstown, NY to the late Hauser and Helen (Hunt) Becker. He and his eight siblings grew up in Fort Hunter, and he attended Fonda Fultonville Central Schools. From school, George became a self-employed contractor in the Amsterdam area.

George was predeceased by his parents Hauser and Helen Becker; brothers Harvey, Hauser (Howie), and Milton Becker; as well as his sisters Rose Young and Christina Rossi.

He is survived by his brothers Joseph, Charlie, and Jimmy Becker, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A service of remembrance will take place at 7pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 200 Main Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Family and friends may call prior to the service from 6pm to 7pm.
