Obituary of Donna E. Rockwell

Donna E. Rockwell, 85, of Gloversville passed away on August 8, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Broadalbin, NY on March 2, 1938, and is the daughter of the late Raymond S. and Sarah K. (Fosmire) Baker.

Donna is survived by her loving husband who she united with marriage with on June 29, 1957, Leon C. Rockwell. She is also survived by two siblings: Goldie Anderson and Ray (Ruth) Baker; her two children, William (Pam) Rockwell of Milford, OH and Cheryl Rockwell (Joe Evans) of Saratoga Springs, NY; six grandchildren: Joshua (Karen) Edenhofer, Karie (David) Ochman, Katie Edenhofer, Justin (Amanda) Edenhofer, Sarah (Vinny) Mezzanini and Sienna Rockwell and nine grandchildren: Naomi, Elliot, Daisy & Gwendolyn Edenhofer; Gabriel, Aubriana and Cameron Ochman; George and Adelaina Kowalsky; Francesca Mezzanini.

Besides her parents Donna is predeceased by her daughter, Marie Edenhofer (Harry); her siblings Walt Baker, Richard Baker, Marion Rockwell, Katherine VanNostrand, William Baker.

Donna was a long-time member of Perth Bible Church, where she was actively involved in many areas throughout her years there. One of Donna’s most valued accomplishments was getting her degree and teaching certificate as an adult learner. After obtaining her degree, she spent many years as an English teacher at Perth Bible Christian Academy until she retired.

Donna loved to spend time with her family and found great joy in her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved playing card and board games with her family, which she always seemed to win.  She also spent many hours spoiling her beloved Pomeranian Zeus.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078 on Friday August 11, 2023, from 4 PM to 7 PM. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday August 12, 2023, at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Appell from Perth Bible Church officiating.
