Obituary of Jean R. Patrenicola

Amsterdam – Jean R. Patrenicola, 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at St. Mary’s Hospital. 

Born on June 17, 1957, in Amsterdam, a daughter of the late Rose Reali and Carmen Musillo. A lifelong resident of the area, Jean graduated from local schools. For over 20 years, Jean worked as an employment support specialist with the St. Mary’s Mental Health Department. Jean loved scratching her cash words, whether at the casino or playing lottery tickets. Most of all, she was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, friend and so much more, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Jean is predeceased by her son, Robert Rodriguez and her sister, Carol Carrero. Survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Carrero (Tyrone) and Christina Carrero; sister, Gloria Mancini; grandchildren, Jaciano Robert Carrero and Thomas Robert LaBate, Jr.; aunt, Carol Wojcik; nephews, Luis (Jamie), Ricky (Jen), Dom (Nicole), and Carlos (Catherine); great nieces & nephews, Kayleigh, Ganiha, Kainen, Kaimien, Ella, Sophia, Max, Carson and Kennedy; many loving cousins, family and friends. 

A private burial for Jean will be held at St. Michaels Cemetery, Amsterdam.
