Obituary of Steve A. Mack

Steve A. Mack, 69, of Amsterdam passed away unexpectedly on Saturday July 15, 2023.

He was born in Amsterdam on October 26, 1953 to Frank and Minnie Mack.

A lifelong area resident, Steve attended local schools graduating in 1972. He went on to become a mechanic working with Liberty for 40 years before retiring in early 2023 when he began working at Cj Medi Cab. On July 27, 2003 Steve married the love of his life, Susan, they shared nearly 20 wonderful years together.

Steve's biggest passion was cars, he loved to buy, restore, sell, and showcase cars, especially his favorite: the Ford T Bucket. Steve had a passion for working with his hands and would lose track of time obsessing over his projects. He will be remembered as a kind, caring, and selfless man with a wonderful sense of humor.

Steve leaves behind his wife Susan Mack, daughter Heather (Bob) Vitus, son Steve Mack Jr., stepchildren; Richie (Kelly) Glionna, Shawn (Sheena) Glionna, Brian (Jen) Snell, and Krystal Glionna. He also leaves behind his brother Frank (Diane) and sister Louise (Robert) as well as his grandchildren Bryana (Rey), Calynn, and Bobby, great-granddaughter Julieah in addition to several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Minnie.

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Tuesday, July 25 2023 at 1:00 pm with Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis, EV at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Ave Amsterdam, NY 12010. Prior to the service calling hours will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Immediately following services Steve will be laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Amsterdam.
