Obituary of Eleanor Skinner
Mrs. Eleanor Skinner, 101, of Fultonville, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2023 with her family by her side. Born in Fultonville on January 5, 1922 she was the last living daughter of Giacamo “John” and Florence Cerreto.
A lifelong area resident, Eleanor was a graduate of Fultonville High School. She worked at Premier Gloves and at General Electric during WWII. She later would become a home maker, taking care of her family and helping with the family business, The Hotel Arthur.
Eleanor was a parishioner of St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, and assisted in the Ladies Auxiliary with the Fire Department. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles Skinner Sr.; and all of her siblings.
Survivors include her son, Charles Skinner Jr. and his wife Carol; her granddaughter, Sarah Urtz and her husband Thomas; and two great granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Cassidy; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11a.m. at Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville. All are welcome to attend.
