Obituary of Patricia Kirby

Patricia Kirby, 93, of Kodak, Tennessee, passed away on July 1, 2023 after a sudden illness.

Patricia was born on March 13, 1930 to Hugh and Florence Nicholson in Alexandria Bay, New York. In 1945, Patricia met Bernard “Bud” Kirby in Alexandria Bay. Patricia and Bud married in 1946 and went on to have 5 children, Alan, Stephen, Elaine, Frank and Anne Marie.

Patricia was a homemaker, telephone operator at GTE, and retired from medical records at Nathan Littauer Hospital. She enjoyed history, was an avid reader, and took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Bud, her brother, Garth of Long Beach, California, her son, Alan, infant daughter, Anne Marie and beloved dog, Bubba. She is survived by her brother; Alan Nicholson of California, 3 of her children and their spouses; Stephen and Doreen Kirby of Hiram, Georgia, Elaine and Robert Farone of Kodak, Tennessee, and Frank and Hisae Kirby of Lynnwood, Washington; grandchildren, Cherisse Kirby of Powder Springs, Georgia, Theresa Kirby Traver and her husband, Kris of Dallas, Georgia, Mariko Rose and her husband, Evan of Bellevue, Washington, and Brian Kirby of Bellevue, Washington; step grandchildren, Patrick Farone and his wife Marcia of Kodak, Tennessee, Anthony and his wife Jessica of Schenectady, New York, Joseph Farone of Schenectady, New York, and Nikki Moore of Morristown, Tennessee and great grandchildren; Layla, Jason, and Emily Rose of Bellevue, Washington.

Patricia was buried next to her husband, Bud, at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown, under the direction of Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
