Obituary of Gerald Shults

Gerald Shults, 69, of Gloversville, New York, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2023 at Mountain Valley Hospice. Gerald was born on January 10, 1954 in Gloversville to the late Ronald and Mariena (Stuart) Shults. 

Gerald worked for over 40 years in the manufacturing industry. He began his career with Keymark, then moved to Curtin-Hebert, where he worked for many years. After leaving Curtin-Hebert, Gerald went on to work for Taylor Made in Gloversville until his retirement. 

A life-long outdoorsman Gerald was always happy to spend time in nature, especially hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Gloversville Moose Lodge, where he served as Junior Governor for many years. 

He leaves behind his loving family, including his children, Tina Shults and Wayne (Ashley) Shults; grandchildren, Abigail, Savannah, Emily, Kaleb, and Bella; great grandchildren Harper and Casen; siblings, Edward, Jeff, Bruce, Chris, and Karen; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Aside from his parents, Ronald and Mariena, Gerald is also preceded in passing by his son, Gerald Shults Jr; daughter, Kelly Woodard; and brother, Alan. 

Funeral services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Gerald’s memory to Mountain Valley Hospice 108 Steele Ave, Gloversville, NY 12078.
