Obituary of Robert Morrell Sr.

Robert Morrell Sr., 70, of Amsterdam, NY passed away on May 31st, 2023, at Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing with his loving family by his side.

Born on November 4^th, 1952, to the late William and Catherine (Casso) Morrell, he was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Later in life, Robert married the love of his life Linda with whom he shared 56 wonderful years before her recent passing.

Robert was predeceased by his wife Linda Morrell; parents William and Catherine Morrell; and brothers David, Louis, and Michael Morrell.

He is survived by his sons Robert Morrell Jr. (Bobbi) and Preston Beverly; grandchildren Caitlin and Emrick Morrell; nieces Debra Roginski (Sandy) and Kelly Vickers (Lester); brother William Morrell; sister Barbara Baker; great-nephews Sebastian and Zachariah Vickers; and several cousins.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
