Anne Marie, Colleen, Betsy, Jennifer and family...the world lost a good one. I have so many wonderful memories of Joe and can still clearly hear his laugh when I think about him. For a good chunk of my adolescence, he was a solid adult who was both present and supportive...as my friend's father, as a coach who saw and honed potential, and as a mentor who encouraged me to study hard and become an engineer. He taught me good sportsmanship, how to steal bases and slide with purpose, the basic rules of hockey, and how to water-ski on Sacandaga Lake. He never minded chauffeuring us around in the Surburban and I truly appreciated that he was always willing to stop for ice cream. Even as a kid, I could clearly see that his family was his priority and it was very obvious how much he loved you all. May his love and light surround you now.
