Obituary of Donna L. Pierce

Donna L. “Dodie” Pierce, 67, of Gloversville, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 with her family by her side.  Born in Amsterdam, NY on October 11, 1955 she was the daughter of the late Robert and Barbara Ann Derby TenEyck.

A lifelong area resident, Donna lived most of her life in Fonda.  She was a selfless woman who cared deeply for her family and friends.  She was never afraid to talk to people, even strangers, and always was willing to lend a helping hand.  Donna will be remembered for her love of family, nature and faith.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Willard K. Pierce, who passed away on January 4, 2021; and their beloved dog Sarge.

Survivors include her three children, Melissa Jordan (Brian), David West (Fiancée Christie) and Shane Dorr (Jessica); her siblings, Ronald TenEyck (Kelly), Robert TenEyck (Melissa), Howard TenEyck, and Jennie Blanchard (Bob); her grandchildren; James, Jewell, Brian Jr., Kenzie, Jordan, Nickolas, Danial, Praisleigh and Averleigh; her lifelong friend, Alfred Himpsl; and several step children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Graveside Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 12p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Martin Road, Fonda, NY.  All are invited to attend.
