Obituary of Andreea Lynn Levine

Andreea Lynn Levine, R.N., 68 of Gloversville passed away on Monday May 22, 2023 at Mountain Valley Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

Andreea was born on September 30, 1954 to Leonard Kaczor and Geraldine Stark Kaczor. A lifelong area resident, she attended Bishop Scully High School, graduating in 1972. She went on to attend Maria College where she graduated with an Associate's Degree of Nursing. Andreea was employed as a Registered Nurse at a number of local businesses. She began her career at Albany Medical where she worked in Pediatric Head Trauma, and later was employed as a Home Aid Nurse, Head Nurse at Nathan Littauer Hospital and eventually Associate Director of Nursing at Fulton Center. Andreea retired in 2010, during her 30 plus years as a Registered Nurse she was blessed with the opportunity to help many people, a gift that she cherished. She was especially honored to care for her mother during the last 11 years of Geraldine’s life. Andreea loved nature, spending time outside, she enjoyed gardening and loved to feed and watch the birds in her yard. 

In 1977 Andreea was united in marriage to Artie Harris Levine, they were married for 35 years before divorcing amicably and remained close friends until his passing in 2020. 

Andreea is survived by her children Christian Levine, Michaelia (Jason) Daniels, and Jade Grace (William Gifford); grandchildren Jenna (Austin) Dingman, Kolton and Jaylee VanSlyke-Levine, Gage Hayes, Kaylob Daniels, Jackson Levine-Grace, William and Maisy Gifford; brother Dennis (Stacy) Kaczor as well as great-granddaughter Aubriella Dingman and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Andreea also leaves behind her friends of 50 years Joe and Marcia Kryzak who have been her closest companions and caregivers for the last five years. 

Andreea was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Geraldine, former husband Artie, and pets Precious, Sam, and Rosey.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice as well as Dr. Emily Etzkorn for their care, compassion and for ensuring Andreea's comfort during her final days. 

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Ave Amsterdam, NY 12010.
