Obituary of Dawn C. Cramer

Dawn C. Cramer, 68, of Amsterdam, passed away Tuesday May 16, 2023 at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY following a long illness.

She was born in Amsterdam, NY on June 3, 1954, a daughter of the late Richard and Geraldine James Bant.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended local schools.

Dawn was the owner and operator of the former Dawn's Discount Store in Gloversville for many years.  She retired in 2008.                    

She was a supporter of St. Jude's Childrens' Research Hospital and PETA.  She enjoyed dancing, rides in her Durango, Christmas parties, flea markets, Fonda Fair trips, collecting figurines, always lending a helping hand, her beloved dog Bonnie and spending time with her family.  Her family always enjoyed her midnight birthday calls and her family will surely miss how she would always end her conversations with " 1,2,3 Love you Later". 

Survivors include her loving daughter, Valerie L. Atty (Alberto Beltran) of Pattersonville, NY.   Two cherished grandchildren, Aiden Carter and Caleb Colson.  Her dear sister, Deborah J. Bant of Ephrathah, NY. Brother, Richard O. Bant(Dawn) of Johnstown, NY.  Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023  beginning at 12:00 Noon at the Vice Bar & Grill, 32 S. Perry St. Johnstown, NY 12095.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
