Obituary of William C. DuPont

Mr. William C. DuPont, 66, of the Town of Perth, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 14, 2023 at his home.

He was Born in Schenectady NY on July 15, 1956, the son of Donald K. DuPont and Reta Lee White DuPont.  He was a 1974 graduate of Mohonasen High School and a 1976 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College.

William was employed as an Inside Contractor-Salesperson for Curtis Lumber Co. In Ballston Spa for many years.  He was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing and loved driving and  talking about his electric car.   He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going for drives with his beloved Bernese Mountain Dog Onyx and always offering his lap to his cats Jaspurr, Pebbles and Malachite.

He married Suzette Merendo-DuPont on October 24, 1992.  In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother, Reta Lee DuPont of Rotterdam, NY.   His children, Leanna Ruth DuPont (Nick) of Malone, NY, Kaleena Karyl Travis (Damon) of Rotterdam, NY.   Cherished grandchildren, Evelyn and Dean, Starra, Alianna, Rayne and Zareena.   His sister, Donna Diehsner of Rotterdam, NY and brother, Ken DuPont (Patricia) of Elkton, Virginia.  Nieces also survive. 

He was predeceased by his father, Donald K. DuPont and his daughter,  Ayriel Day DuPont.
