Obituary of Louise Albanese

Mrs. Louise I. Albanese, age 75, of Johnstown, died April 7, 2023 surrounded by her family at St. Mary’s Hospital, Amsterdam. 

She was born August 21, 1947 in Gloversville, the daughter of Edward and Anna Komorny.  Louise was a devoted mother to her daughters Christina, Theresa, and Gina, and sons James and Brad Albanese.

She is survived by her five children and three grandchildren , Jesse Cooper, Matthew Cooper, and Jarrett Albanese, as well as her brother Paul Komorny, and sisters Mary Wells and Carolyn Finkle. 

She was predeceased by her husband Gregory Albanese, mother Anna Komorny and father, Edward Komorny. 

The family will have a private graveside ceremony at Mt. Carmel Cemetery on Thursday April 13th at 4pm, followed by a reception at Hales Mills Country Club in Johnstown.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society.
