Obituary of Alice E. Beck

Alice E. Beck, 76, of Gloversville, passed away March 21, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her  side. She was born on April 18, 1946, in Gloversville and is the daughter of the late Harry and Leonore (Bartlett) Young.

Alice graduated in 1964 from Wheelerville High School. She was united in marriage on August 1, 1964, to Ronald Beck, they were married over 58 years at the time of her passing. Ron and Alice were overjoyed in June of 1968 when their son Ronnie was born. Alice was a very kind and giving person, and she was also very funny. She worked for Nathan Littauer Hospital in the kitchen for many years where she made many good friends.

Alice is also survived by her loving husband Ron, her brother Harry (Beth) Young Jr; sisters Donna of Hudson, Florida and Linda (Keith) Thompson of Bleeker. She is also survived by her uncle Clayton Young, her aunt Ruthie and daughter in law Shelly of Fultonville, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Alice is predeceased by her son Ronnie.

Alice will be missed, but we know she is united with her son, mom, dad and her family who passed on before her.

Per Alice’s request there will be no funeral service, and she will be buried in the family plot of Bleecker Cemetery in the springtime.
