Obituary of Jody John Rostowski

Jody John Rostowski, 53, of Amsterdam, New York passed away February 23, 2023 at Albany Medical Center Albany , New York. He was born on February 17, 1970 in Amsterdam, New York to Mr. Edmund Rostowski and Mrs. Jacqueline Liszewski Rostowski. He attended local schools graduating from Amsterdam High School, the class of 1988. Jody went on to serve in the National Guard.  

From a young age he enjoyed spending time outdoors, he began logging with his father and grandfather at the age of 13 and later co-owned and operated Rostowski Logging for several years.  He was extremely passionate about his business and also loved to volunteer his time for the Polish American Veterans Color Guard and the American Legion Post 701.  Jody had an incredible sense of humor and was unrelenting in his happy-go-lucky attitude about life, even when he got sick.  

He is survived by his partner of 15 years, Lisa Ingraham, stepson Arron Sowle, stepdaughter Samantha Christman, father Edmond Rostowski, sister Becky Krutz (Phil), nephew Cody Krutz and niece Shelby Krutz. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins who he loved dearly.  

Jody was preceded in death by his mother Jackie Rostowski, and wife Barbara Christman Rostowski.  

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 5:00pm at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Ave Amsterdam. Calling Hours will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home prior to the service.
