Our sincerest condolences go to the family of Steve Harris Jr. As you honor your loved one, Steve, take heart in the stories, memories, laughter, love, tears, and hugs. Sending deepest condolences to Steve's family, friends, and fellow members of the Ft. Johnson fire dept. I knew Steve from growing up in Ft. Johnson. I was an explorer too. Steve was the one who taught me how to change a Scott Air Pak (SBCA). He always had a joke to tell. He was a dear friend of my late brother and my late parents. I am very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I'll be keeping him in thoughts and prayers.

My heart goes out the family of Steve; also extended to his friends and all who knew him; including his brothers and sisters of Fort Johnson Vol. Fire Company. Steve was the biggest jokester at the company but also made sure that every single one of his crew members made it home safely after every call. He taught me what I know today during my days in the fire company. He may have had a stern voice; but he always had a soft heart. RIP my friend; my brother. You will be truly missed.

When I joined the Fort Johnson Vol Fire Company back in 2008, I didn't know what to except. I never thought I'd gain such an amazing family. Steve truly was family. He was a great mentor, leader and friend. He was quick witted and always had a joke ready. My deepest condolences, love and support goes out to his family. Steve you will forever be missed. Thank you for not only begin a friend but my brother who I'm honored to have worked along side for over 9 years.

I was shocked/saddened to learn of Steve's passing the other day. I've known Steve,Maria & his parents since elementary school. When he rode @GAVAC we worked together there as well. He was a great guy and I will greatly miss our chats. May he R.I.P. & prayers to you & family in this most difficult of times. God Bless .
