Obituary of Michael T. Ruggeri

Michael T. Ruggeri, age 77, of Albany, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Collar City Nursing and Rehabilitation, Schaghticoke, NY.

He was born June 19, 1945, in Gloversville, the son of the late Frank and Anna (Vrooman) Ruggeri. He was a 1963 graduate of Johnstown High School.  He was in many theater productions at the Colonial Little Theater from 1965-1969 before moving to Hollywood, California.   In California he was employed as a manager at the Raincheck Room where he met many aspiring actors. He enjoyed painting and writing proudly having stories published in The Readers Digest.

Michael is survived by his niece Toni and spouse Mark Mosconi, Great nephews Vincent, Nicholas (Imma), and Christopher (Alexia), and Great-great nephew Carter.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Anthony and Thomas Ruggeri and Sister-in-law Marlene Ruggeri.

At Michael’s request there will be no calling hours.  His wishes were for people to celebrate and remember him in their own ways.

Interment will take place in the spring at Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of one’s choice.
