Obituary of Danine B. Christman

Mrs. Danine Christman, 87, of Amsterdam, passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2023 at home with her family at her side.

Born in Fort Hunter NY on September 26, 1935, the daughter of the late Daniel P. and Mabel Bryant Hojohn.    She was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools.

Danine was employed for a time at the Adirondack Knitting Mill in Amsterdam.  

She married Charles Christman on September 14, 1956. He passed away on July 14, 2011.  

Survivors include her four children, Charles (Debbie) Christman Jr., Terri (Jim) Szala, Michael (Tammy) Christman and Susan (Dave) Surovy.  Siblings, Wayne (Kathy) Hojohn, Helen Vokeler and Harry Hojohn.  Cherished grandchildren, Samantha Christman, Nikki Christman, Sheanna Ramsey, Jacqueline Christman, Allen Szala, Katie Christman, Eddie Ruggerio, Daniel Christman, Jessica Smith and Kimberley McCarthy.  Many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins survive. Danine was predeceased be her son, Donald Christman and by her grandson, Chad Christman on May 16, 2022.   She was also predeceased by siblings, Charles Daniel and Phillip Hojohn, Beverly Hazzard and Valerie Hojohn.
