Obituary of Mark A. Marrone

Mark  A. Marrone, 73 of Broadalbin, NY, passed away on Friday December 23,2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam following a brief illness. 

He was born in Gloversville, NY on June 12, 1949 a son of the late Alfonsey and Anna Mae Quackenbush Marrone.  Mark married Darlene L. Baird and they celebrated 25 years together.  

He was employed for Destination Kia in Albany as a car mechanic before his illness.   He had been a mechanic for over 45 years.  He and his wife enjoyed hot rods and attending many car shows and casinos.  He also enjoyed helping his friends and others in need at any time. 

In addition to his loving wife, Mark is survived by a daughter Shari Williams, grandson Dylan Lanza, a sister, Kathy Gazadzicki.   Friends that were there for him; Mike (Mo) Schmidtmann, Jodi (Anita) Letson and their son JJ. He was predeceased by his sister, Linda Ervin. 

There are no services scheduled at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.  Memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of one’s choice.
