Obituary of Stella Ann Reicherter

Stella Ann Reicherter, 88, of Hadley, New York, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2022 at River Ridge Living Center in Amsterdam. Stella was born on September 24, 1934 in Schenectady to the late Vincent and Stella (Chesky) Matuszak.    

On October 21, 1949 she was united in marriage to William Frederick Reicherter. He was the love of her life and they were married a wonderful 52 years together, until William's passing in 2005.  

Stella enjoyed spending time with her family on Great Sacandaga Lake, having fun playing cards and visiting with neighbors, she was full of life and had a passion for cooking and gardening. She loved a good old-fashioned and was known for popping an orange out of her purse at the local establishments if they didn't have one. Her presence will be missed by many!

She leaves behind her loving family, including her son, James Anthony Reicherter of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Misty Gibbs, Tony Reicherter, Chad Hartman, Kristy Reicherter, Tammy Humble, and Jennifer Woodruff; great-grandchildren, Molly and Ava Gibbs; as well as her sister, Arlene Hartman of Naples, Florida.  

Aside from her parents, Vincent and Stella, and her husband, William, Stella is also preceded in passing by her sons, William Stanley Reicherter and David Vincent Reicherter. 

A celebration of life will be held for Stella this Summer by the family.
