Candace Martuscello

Obituary of Candace Martuscello

Candace (Candi) Hatch Martuscello, passed peacefully after a brief fight with cancer. She was our mother, sister, aunt, friend, and neighbor. Our hearts are broken.

Candace was predeceased by her husband Jack Martuscello. She is survived by their son Michael, of Barcelona, Spain. Cand’s 6 siblings, their spouses, and their families, will fall apart without her guidance, and strong opinions on everything we do.

Candace lived a great story. She married her childhood sweetheart. Worked. Gardened. Read. Traveled to many far away places. Shopped. Volunteered. Lunched with friends. Became a teacher and she LOVED her job! Retired, practiced yoga, laughed a lot, spent time with friends, and truly appreciated life. Candi’s friends and family were most important to her. The cards, letters, flowers, food, and visits you gave during her illness were so very precious. Favorite Aunt Candi (FAC) was a very integral part of all our lives (this includes many other young people, not only her nieces and nephews).

Her bible study group, and her “Wine Circle”, as well as all the “Garage Boys” will struggle to fill the void she’s left. We will never be the same.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY with Rev.
