Obituary of Beatrice J. Pasicznyk
Beatrice J. Pasicznyk, 97, of Amsterdam, NY passed away peacefully on December 3, 2022, at River Ridge Living Center.
Beatrice was born on June 24, 1925, to the late Anthony and Mary (Puglisi) Condello. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and 1944 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch Literacy Academy. She was married to the love of her life Gregory Pasicznyk on June 24, 1951, until his passing on Dec 28, 2004.
She was a devoted parishioner of the former St. Michael’s Church and sang in the Holy Angels Choir. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Amsterdam, NY. She was well known in the Amsterdam community as being a part of the Guy Park Ave PTA, a Religious Education Instructor, working as a St. Mary’s Hospital volunteer and serving on the Election Board for many years. She was an avid reader and loved to cook and bake.
She is survived by her son John G. Pasicznyk of Troy, NY; grandchildren Gregory Pasicznyk and Nadia (Gavin) Humphrey; beloved nieces and nephews John Condello, Mary Jo Condello Anderson, Patricia Condello Tobin, Lydia Rymar, and Oleh Rymar; and many cousins.
She is predeceased by her parents Anthony and Mary Condello; husband Gregory Pasicznyk; brothers George (Sarah) Condello and Vincent (Christine) Condello; and nephew Anthony Condello.
Beatrice wanted to give a special thank you to her dear friends Mary Doris Dicaprio, David Dicaprio, and Mary Greco for all their help and friendship over the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 39 Saint John St, Amsterdam, NY with The Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. as celebrant. Calling hours will precede the Mass and will be held from 9a.m. to 10:30a.m. at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY. All are invited to attend. A private burial will take place at St Michael’s cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St Mary’s Hospital by mail to The Foundation of St. Mary’s Healthcare, 427 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home.
