Obituary of Doris Ann Stewart

Doris Ann Stewart, age 86, of Johnstown, died Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown.
She was born March 10, 1936 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Florian Schreivogl and Irma Booth. She was employed for 38 years as a bookkeeper at Hathaway Insurance Agency in Gloversville. She loved all the people she worked with as well as being involved with the Insurance Women of Fulton County. Her fondness for corny jokes went hand in hand with her infectious laugh. She was an avid reader, gardener and lover of dogs. Her faith was ever present. Above all she loved being with her family, ensuring that everyone who could, would be there. She will be missed.
Doris is survived by five children, Denice Lathrop (Thomas), David Stewart Jr. (Laura), Michelle V. Jacksland (Lance), Karl Stewart and Monique Stewart; six grandchildren, Tracie Andrews, Nicole Higby, Melissa Sweeney, David Stewart III, Erik Ozea and Nolan Ozea; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, John "Jack" Schreivogl (Helen); as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, David J. "Hank" Stewart Sr; and two sisters, June Caputo and Lois Rasmussen.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 12 noon Friday, November 25th at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon with Neil Kirby officiating. 
Private interment will follow at the convenience of the family at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
