Obituary of Barbara Smith

Mrs. Barbara M. Smith, age 92, of Peck Lake, New York, died on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Eddy Village Green of Cohoes, New York.

She was born on August 15, 1930 in Schenectady, the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth Matura. After graduating high school, she attended the Pratt Graphics Arts Institute and was later employed as a Graphic Designer by General Electric of Schenectady.

Barbara is survived by her sister-in-law: Yolanda Matura and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents: Louis J. and Elizabeth (Zak) Matura, her brothers Lou Matura and Larry Matura.

Barbara’s family would like to thank the staff of Eddy Village Green for her excellent care and kindness.

Services will be privately held at the convenience of her family
