Obituary of Mary P. Gentile

Mary P. Gentile, 67, of Broadalbin, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Guilderland, NY on January 6, 1955 she was the daughter of the late John and Caroline Fliegel Greene.

 A lifelong area resident, Mary was employed for New York State and worked in the Tax & Finance Department for 30 years.

On July 25, 1980 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Theodore “Ted” Gentile.  They enjoyed “cruising” the world and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Mary enjoyed crafts, puzzles and enjoying the warmth of a Caribbean beach.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved “Aunt Mary.”

Survivors include her beloved husband, Ted; her siblings, John “Jack” Greene and his wife Jo Ann and Carol Kilinski and her husband Robert; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and one special great great grandniece; and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 11a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 39 St. John Street, Amsterdam, NY with the Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. as celebrant.  Entombment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
