Obituary of Gilberto Sixto Vasquez

Gilberto Sixto Vasquez, 42, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away on October 12, 2022. Gilberto was born on June 15, 1980 in New York City to the late Joey Vasquez and Lillian Solis. 

Gilberto, who was known to family and friends as “Gee,” will be remembered for his bright, and caring nature. Gee lit up any room he walked into, and had an excellent sense of humor. He was always there, with a helping hand, for anyone who needed him. It was in his nature to do anything he could to help others, and he would give the shirt off his back if he had to. 

Gilberto leaves behind his loving family, including his children, Gilberto Sixto Vasquez Jr., Xzavier Vasquez, Jasmine Vasquez, Faith Milagros Vasquez, Kalieb Vasquez, and Gabbriel Vasquez; and his siblings, Victor Mendez, Maggie Torres, Daniel Solis, Damaris Solis, Denise Solis, and Darline Solis. 

Funeral services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.
