Obituary of Anna S. Smith

Anna S. Smith, 87, of Amsterdam passed away on Monday October 10, 2022, at Albany Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Schenectady on April 23, 1935, Anna was the daughter of the late Adam and Frances (Huzar) Savchuk.

Survived by her loving children Mary (Douglas) Ronald of Amsterdam, James (Diane) Smith of Georgia, Adam Smith of Schenectady, Reuben (Ashley Rivera) Smith Sr; of Amsterdam. Her daughter in law Brenda Smith and brothers Peter and Paul Savchuk. Survived also by her loving grandchildren whom she adored Matthew Sr; Amanda, Jessica, Jeremy, Kayla, Chris Sr; Reuben Jr; Jeff, Cherish, Journey, and Jennie. Great grandchildren Leanne, Jeffrey Jr; Matthew Jr; Joshua, Chris Jr; Kennedy, and Monroe.

Besides her parents Anna is predeceased by her sister Helen Redgate and granddaughter Courtney,

Born and raised in Schenectady Anna was a 1953 graduate of Nott Terrace High School. Anna enjoyed playing bingo and spending time at the casino, but most of all spending time together with her family.   

A private Celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
