Obituary of Kelsey Marie Waffle

Kelsey Marie Waffle, 29, of Fonda, NY died suddenly on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at her home after battling lifelong health conditions. Born on April 10, 1993 she was the daughter of Martin and Deborah Caldwell Waffle.

A lifelong area resident, Kelsey was a 2011 graduate of Canajoharie High School.  She will be remembered as being a creative, artistic and generous soul who was an exceptional writer.  Kelsey loved her family, and enjoyed being an “aunt”.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her parents; her brother, Brendan Waffle (Louise Lapras); her paternal grandfather, Robert R. Waffle Sr. and maternal grandmother Ann Caldwell; five aunts and uncles, Craig (Barbara) Caldwell, Krista (James) Barabas, Shawn (Janna) Caldwell, Walter (Andrea) Waffle, Robert (Paige) Waffle Jr.; ten cousins; and her beloved canine companion, Brody.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Eva L. Waffle and David Caldwell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 11a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, 115 Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY with The Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. as celebrant. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda, NY.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 2p.m. until 5p.m. at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166.
