Obituary of Mary L. Suits

Mary L. Suits, 75, of Fort Plain, NY died peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 following a brief illness surrounded by her family.  Born in Amsterdam, NY on October 18, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Merlin and Barbara Putman Porter.

 

A lifelong area resident, Mary graduated from Canajoharie High School in 1964.  She was a homemaker, caring for her children and her grandchildren.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

She was predeceased by her husband, Gregory W. Suits.

 

Survivors include her four children, Kimberly A. Whiteman (James Salamone, William (Carmen) Suits, Darcie (Rob) Jenks and Lucas (Meredith) Suits; nine grandchildren, Megan, Ashtin, Joshua, Jordan, Gregory, Gabriella, Isabelle, Holden and Maisey; five great grandchildren; and her close friend, and part of the family, Gwen Haycook.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166.
