Dear Penny, Peter and families,
My heartfelt sympathy to you all in the passing of your Mom, Grandmother and my Aunt Stella. I would certainly be there if we didn’t live in FL. I will always remember my visits to your home on Brookside Ave. and when you came to Sacandaga to our camp. We always had such fun! The most vivid memory I have is when I stayed at your camp in Scoharie and we all sat around the campfire under the stars and Aunt Stella played her guitar and sang “I like the flowers”. It was my first “campfire sing along in the wilderness” that I will always hold near and dear to my heart! She was a beautiful person who wasn’t afraid to love people and be herself. I’m proud to call her my Aunt Stella. May G-d bless her soul.❤️

Dear Penny and Peter,
We are so sorry to hear about your mother. Aunt Stella was one of the happiest, loving people that we've ever known. It was always so much fun to visit with her. She and Uncle Peter were not just relatives, they were friends. Always got good advice!
Reading her obituary brought back a lot of good memories and a bunch of smiles. Her mock apple pie and dunking for apples some how popped out first. Her love of music and dancing was so great! We remember trying to encourage her to go to Nashville.
Helen and I really enjoyed sharing our trip to Frasso Telesino with her. We wanted to make that connection back to Italy with her. It made it even more special for us. Thank you for helping us to do that. May you know that our hearts are with yours as she makes her trip home. Our love and condolences.
Helen & Ron Smith
