Obituary of Valerie Furman

     Miss Valerie J. Furman, 60, of Amsterdam, passed away Saturday September 3, 2022 at the Mountain Valley Hospice Facility in Gloversville following a brief illness. 

     Born in  Amsterdam on December 31, 1961, the daughter of the former Loretta and Thomas Andrus. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and was a 1980 graduate of Amsterdam High School.

     She was employed for many years as a Home Health Aide  most recently working for the Visiting Nurses in Johnstown, NY.

     Valerie enjoyed gardening and caring for and spoiling her 2 cats, Eli and Willow.

     She is survived by her dear sisters, Linda Sanda of Amsterdam, Carol Pasquariello (Mark) of Hagaman, and Susan Hidde (Michael) of Amsterdam. Several nieces and nephews,

Brandon Sowle, Sophia and Brianna Sowle, Benjamin Engle, Ashley, Caitlin, Alexis and Marissa Hidde.  Aunts, Uncles and friends also survive.  She was pre-deceased by her lifelong partner,  Edward Bubniak of Amsterdam.
